As seen Underground:

Joe Lieberman really bugs me out…I’m starting to wonder what his intentions are and where his loyalty lies…

It struck me as funny that Democrats were wondering where Joe Lieberman’s loyalties are. You know, Joe Lieberman – the same guy they dumped overboard for that spiffy Ned Lamont.

Maybe this quote of Mr. Lieberman’s will give them a clue:

I’m a loyal Democrat, but I have loyalties that are greater than those to my party, and that’s my loyalty to my state and my country.

He made that comment as he filed papers to appear on the November ballot in case he lost the primary. Mr. Lieberman could teach liberals a lot about loyalty.

But Condi, you have no children…

Babs Boxer bows below the belt and pulls a Jersey Girl ploy.

Rice appeared before the Senate in defense of President Bush’s tactical change in Iraq, and quickly encountered Boxer.

“Who pays the price? I’m not going to pay a personal price,” Boxer said. “My kids are too old, and my grandchild is too young.”

Then, to Rice: “You’re not going to pay a particular price, as I understand it, with an immediate family.”

Breathtaking.

Simply breathtaking.

We scarcely know where to begin.

The junior senator from California apparently believes that an accomplished, seasoned diplomat, a renowned scholar and an adviser to two presidents like Condoleezza Rice is not fully qualified to make policy at the highest levels of the American government because she is a single, childless woman.

In other words, Miss Rice can have no opinion and she cannot respond. The typical liberal ploy to discredit someone with whom a liberal cannot debate – tell them their opinion doesn’t count and therefore, “shut up.”
Again, who is electing these people?

Update: I must admit, I enjoyed Rush’s turn of phrase: “. . . below the ovaries.”
